Endometriosis

I thought I would post about this subject because this is what the specialist said about 95% chance that I am suffering from this - and if not they will find out when they do the diagnostic laparoscopy op.

What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a gynaecological condition where tissue that resembles the uterine lining is growing outside the uterus on other areas such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowel and bladder, other pelvic organs and the pelvic lining.

The tissue responds to the monthly hormone cycle. Patches thicken to form cysts or lesions, which can cause inflammation. Adhesions (scar tissue) can form in response.

The outcome is often pain and subfertility. Endometriosis is a leading cause of fertility problems.

Some women with the condition are relatively unaffected by it, while others suffer severe pain and distress. Early diagnosis and treatment can reduce symptoms and preserve fertility.

Endometriosis is perplexing, with no definitive cure and high recurrence rates. Self-care and a holistic approach to managing the condition is needed.

How Common is Endometriosis?
Only about 6% of women have been diagnosed with endometriosis, but it is estimated that 20% of women are affected. Endometriosis affects women of all ages, including teenagers.

I have heard about this and know a lady who suffers horrifically with it,

I definitely will let you know the outcome. It is not nice to live with especially when you get diarrohaea every night from the pain...

It's difficult finding time to do things. l make lists of things l need to do, but its just soo difficult to find the time.

Yes it is difficult
